Farming solo W/Mo - Griffons
If anyone would be kind enough to put a build up for me for a W/Mo with an axe to solo D griffons in the crystal desert , it'd be appriciated. If you can add a sequence(a short one will suffice , i dont want one thats as big as the UW W/N one lol) for skills , and how to start out till i get the hang of it, it'd be awesome. thanks Axe build please!

General wamo farmer for griffons, trolls, minotaurs:
Warrior Monk Farmer
Strength: 8 (7+1)
Axe Mastery: 12 (11+1)
Tactics: 13 (9+4)
Healing Prayers: 8
Smiting Prayers: 4
- Cyclone Axe (Axe Mastery)
Perform a spinning axe attack striking for +10 damage to all adjacent opponents.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:4
- Bonetti's Defense (Tactics)
For 10 seconds, you have a 75% chance to "block" incoming melee attacks and arrows. You gain 5 Energy for each successful melee attack blocked. Bonetti's Defense ends if you use a skill.
Adrenaline:8
- Gladiator's Defense [Elite] (Tactics)
For 10 seconds, you have a 75% chance to block incoming attacks. Whenever you block a melee attack this way, the attacker suffers 31 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:30
- Sprint (Strength)
For 11 seconds, you move 25% faster.
Energy:5 Cast:0 Recharge:20
- Vigorous Spirit (Healing Prayers)
For 30 seconds, each time target ally attacks or casts a Spell, that ally is healed for 8 points.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:4
- Live Vicariously (Healing Prayers)
While you maintain this Enchantment, whenever target ally hits a foe, you gain 8 Health.
Energy:5 Cast:2 Recharge:0
- Mending (Healing Prayers)
While you maintain this Enchantment, target ally gains +3 Health regeneration.
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:0
- Balthazar's Spirit (Smiting Prayers)
While you maintain this Enchantment, target ally gains adrenaline and Energy after taking damage. (The amount of adrenaline gained increases depending on your rank in Smiting Prayers.)
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:0
Optional Skills: Dolyak Signet in place of Sprint if it is not needed to escape the devourers.
Use a “while enchanted” shield for the added health and -2 damage. Vampiric axe will provide some healing, +enchantments and +armor mods are also helpful.
Leave Augury and turn on Mending. Run to the griffon area, using Sprint to get past Rockshots.
Wait for full regeneration and cast Balthazar’s Spirit then run in and herd groups of 3-5 depending on what you can gather.
Cast Gladiator’s Defense > Live Vicariously > Vigorous Spirit > Cyclone Axe, then Cyclone Axe again and Bonetti’s Defense when Gladiator’s runs out.
Switch between Cyclone Axe and Bonetti’s Defense until Gladiator’s Defense is recharged. The trick is to use Bonetti’s Defense while waiting for Cyclone Axe to recharge, so you’re basically always in this stance except when using Gladiator’s Defense (don’t use Bonetti’s Defense until Gladiator’s has run out since it replaces it).
Vigorous Spirit lasts 30 seconds so renew it as needed.

My build...
I got this suggestion from one of the other forums (don't recall the post), but I use the following:
Executioner's Strike
Cyclone Axe
Bonetti's Defense
Gladiator's Defense
Live Vicariously
Mending
Healing Breeze
Sprint (just to flee unexpected Rockshots, could also be Vig.Spirit)
I use a 3:1 Vamp Axe, Customized (+20%), and +1 Axe Mastery (+20%)
For a shield, I use a +39 Health while Enchanted, but it doesn't matter. It could just as well be a +Energy item, really.
Attributes go:
Axe Mastery: 16 (+1, +3) <-- Or as high as you can afford to get it.
Then balance the rest between Healing and Tactics, throwing the rest in Str.
1. Start out by casting Mending, let it recharge, then cast Live Vicariously.
2. Once you engage a group, gather them around and use Gladiator's Defense followed by Cyclone Axe.
3. Once Gladiator's Defense wears off, Bonetti's should be ready, so use it.
4. Once Bonetti's starts to wear off, Cyclone Axe, then Healing Breeze, then Bonetti's should be ready again. (It's key to make sure Healing Breeze comes up before Bonetti's does, as Breeze takes about a second, and BD is instantaneous. Otherwise, the Breeze will cancel out the BD.)
5. You can repeat step 4 until Gladiator's Defense is ready to use again, and use it in place of Bonetti's Defense.
You don't really need Gladiator's Defense, if you haven't gotten it yet, since it's an Elite Skill, you can just repeat Step 4. All it really does is help kill them faster (which is nice ). The Executioner's Strike is used when it's available, as long as it won't interrupt Bonetti's. It's all a matter of knowing when to fall into the Breeze/Bonetti's net when you're in trouble. I've used this build to farm Minotaurs and Griffins outside Augury, and Trolls outside Droknar's Forge in the Talus Chute cave, fairly successfully.
I'm sure you'll see other (probably better) builds, but this is a start.

I have been farming this area for about a week now, so I am pretty noob at it, but this is the build I run.
Skills : sprint, cleave, cyclone axe, bonneti's defense, vig. spirit, healing breeze,
live vicariously, mending.
Spreading attribute points is a personal thing, just try and find the best combo
to get the most out of everything.
When you get to the Griffons, have mending and live vic. on.
Then aggro as many as you dare, I only try and take on six at a time, soon as they
get close, hit vig. spirit.
Then cycle back and forth with cleave and cyclone axe, when your energy gets below
5, hit bonnetti's defense, let energy get back up, then will probably have to hit vig.
spirit again, and keep cycling cleave and cyclone axe.
If cleave and cyclone axe come up at the same time, use cleave first, then cyclone axe,
because axe will add adrenaline to cleave for the next charge-up.
If your health starts to go down fast, hit either healing breeze if you have 10en.
left or hit bonnettis defense, remember when bonnettis defense is on you cannot
use any other skills this will end bonnettis, so watch your energy and bonnettis
and as soon as either your energy is full or bonnettis ends start with vig. spirit,
cleave, and cyclone axe.
hope this helps...
Sirshadowrunner.
p.s. it is up you on fighting or sprint from the devourers, I usually sprint from them
and then come back later and get them.

heres my wammo farm build:
healing prayers: 10
smiting prayers: 12
axe mastery: 10
tactics: 9
shield of judgement (elite)
bonettis defense
cyclone axe
zealots fire
healing breeze (incase it starts to look bad)
vigorous spirit
live vicariously
mending
dont worry about the rockshots, i kill them to
start off by casting both maintained enchants b4 a fight
make sure you have 20 energy
when you gather aggro and are rdy to farm cast zealots fire then vigorous spirit
then cyclone axe, then bonettis right after, if you think you can handle it cast SoJ and let them hit you,
dont use bonettis when SoJ is up unless you are in danger, just keep vigorous spirit up and keep using cyclone to refill yur health and adreanaline
zealots fire is an AoE but its only considered an AoE if you do it to fast. so cast vigorous or healing just because you can for more damage, but not quicker than about 2 seconds apart

A sword build would probably just use HB, since it's an AE hit. Axe is better though - my version uses Strength of Honor for a big damage boost with Cyclone.

There are quite a few builds that work against griffons. Some just work better than others. Rule of thumb though; if youre going to use mending, have 8 attrib points devoted to it for the +3 regen. I have two builds. One is a wammo and the other's a wamme.
Wammo
Attributes:
Axe Mastery: 12 (10+2)
Tactics: 12 (10+1+1)
Strength: 9 (8+1)
Healing: 8
Smiting: 2 (leftover points)
Skills:
Cyclone Axe
Dismember
Executioner's Strike
Galdiators Defense {E}
Dolyak Signet
Healing Breeze
Mending
Balthazar's Spirit
Armor
Full Gladiator's with Ascalon or Knights helm
Runes:
Major Axe Mastery
Minor Tactics
Minor Strength
Major or Superior Absorbtion
Major or Superior Vigor
Weapon and Shield
Piercing axe (seems to do more damage to the griffons and minotaurs on average than a slashing one) with 13-15% while enchanted, cruel axe haft, & +5 defense grip.
Mamnoon Lagoon Crimson Carapace Collectors Shield
(requires 5 ancient eyes)- Armor +12 (req. 8 Tactics)
Health +45 (while enchanted)
Received damage -2 (while enchanted)
- or -
Malinon's Shield- Armor +16 (req. 9 Tactics)
Health +45 (while enchanted)
Received damage -2 (while enchanted)
Wamme
Attributes:
Swordsmanship: 12 (10+2)
Tactics: 12 (10+1+1)
Strength: 12 (11+1)
Inspiration: 1
Skills
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Despiration Blow
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Physical Resistance
Healing Signet
Armor
Full Gladiator's with Ascalon or Knights helm
Runes:
Major Swordsmanship
Minor Tactics
Minor Strength
Major or Superior Absorbtion
Major or Superior Vigor
Weapon and Shield
Just get a max damage collectors sword with +15% while in stance since you're going to be in a stance almost all the time. I use a zealous sword hilt but barbed will work just as well since most of your skills are adrenalin based and you won't need huge amounts of energy.
Thirsty River Crimson Carapace Collectors Shield
(requires 5 bleached shells)- Armor +16 (req. 9 Strength)
Health +45 (while in a stance)
Received damage -2 (while in a stance)
-or-
Grognar's Defender- Armor +16 (req. 9 Strength)
Health +45 (while in a stance)
Received damage -2 (while in a stance)
Hope that helps. Have fun!

For a sword build this is what I use:
Attributes:
Healing- 8
Strength- 14 (+1 from helm and +3 from runes)
Tactics- 15 (+3 from runes)
Skills-
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Gladiators Defence
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Healing Breeze
Mending
Balthazars Spirit
Weapon/Shield-
Sword- barbed mod (lengthens bleeding) +7 vs physical mod
Shield- Malinons (works the best so I have 425 health)
Runes-
Sup Vigor
Major Absorbtion
Sup Tactics
Sup Strength
Armor-
Glads and dragon helm (soon to be ascalon)
Start out by casting mending and balthazars spirit. Run past all the rockshots and group up the griffons and minotaurs. When you have them all aggroed target the closest and start attacking. Use dolyak, deadly riposte, watch yourself, riposte, glads def. Just keep using those when they recharge. Use breeze when glads runs out and keep it up. With this build I dont even have to worry about the rockshots. It they interupt breeze just use riposte and deadly riposte as much as you can, keep dolyak and watch yourself up as much as possible. When glads recharges use it and then breeze as soon as it is available. They interupt breeze about 1 time every 4-5 runs and I always live through it. If you don't feel comfortable using 2 sup runes then start out without any, then use 1, then move on to 2. My health never drops below 100 and that is when they interupted my breeze.

Just tried this out, works like a charm! Trolls north of droks and griffs south of rock.

Balthazar's Aura is completely useless in that build. I use the exact same one, except BA is Exe Strike. BA is not needed because one Cyclone Axe gives you full adrenaline, and when you have that use Bonetti's for full mana.

If you are talking about the build above she is using BS not BA in the build which is very useful. I would only question why use BS and Bonetti's for energy unless your just making sure you never run out. You could sub Bonetti's for another Def Stance or BS for Mending to get the extra healing.

Ok here is my question. If u have Mending, Balthazar's. and live vicariously on u will have a -1 energy regen, I guess this doesn;t matter if u have 3-5 Griffons on u. However once u get down to 1-2 their attacks alone don;t give u sufficiaqnt energy to overcome the -1, how do I deal with this?

To do good Warrior farming you only need Cyclone axe, and some good damage dealers with your axe, then Glads and other stances along with healing signet. Why waste the extra points in Protection/Smit/Healing when you can do a higher damage out put with just Axe/Tac/Str ? Faster farming, since AoE got nerfed and they ran, SW is usless.
